Shawna started her career in the school picture industry in 1998 as a photographer. The territory yearbook designer left the company, and Shawna was offered a position with yearbooks to stay busy during the holiday break. She fell in love with making yearbooks! At that time, yearbook creation was actual typing name lists, pasting portraits to a layout board with rubber cement, and cutting and gluing pictures “scrapbook” style for montage/activity pages. Shawna was then offered a full-time sales position and has never looked back. She is so thankful for her career within the school picture/yearbook industry. Her schedule running alongside the school year has allowed her to be a single mom to her five sons. Working at Strawbridge is a blessing to Shawna. The core values Strawbridge expects of its employees aligns with her personal core values to do your best, do what is right, and treat others as you would like to be treated.
In her spare time, Shawna spends time with her sons, their wives and her 11 grandchildren. She also enjoy going to the beach, riding my motorcycle, reading and crafting.
After 26 years in the industry, Shawna can honestly say that she loves helping schools capture the memories of the year. Watching her own adult children look back at their school yearbooks to reminisce drives her desire to help every child receive a yearbook.
