Brenda started her career in the school picture and yearbook industry in 1991. At that time, she was a full time hair stylist and salon manager until the birth of her first child. After being a full time stay-at-home Mom for more than 8 years, she decided it was time to get out of the house during the day while her children were at school. She took a position with a local school picture company that allowed her to be home with her children during the evenings and on the weekends. In a very short time, she was photographing students, and then quickly became a trainer and photo manager. She truly loved the entire aspect of the picture business from day one! What better job is there than greeting all those sweet little faces each day and helping to capture a precious moment in time?
After several years, Brenda began to take on the yearbook side of the industry and TRULY loved that, too! Of course, back in the early days, yearbook creation was very hands-on, cutting and pasting images with scissors & glue. How quickly that started to change with the explosion of the internet! 26 years later, Brenda really enjoys being available for her family and her 4 grandchildren, ages 4, 5, 8 & 10. She still loves what she does! It has all come full circle for her!
Speaking of family, Strawbridge is a fourth generation owned and operated company. They still believe in the old fashion core values of treating people the way we all want to be treated and always doing the right thing for each other and our customers. These are not just words to the Strawbridge family. They lead by example each and every day by the way they treat all of their employees! It doesn’t matter if you are a floor sweeper or a top sales person, all are treated as cherished family members. Spending many years with a large corporation, Brenda values that respect more than she could ever express.
